Arkham Horror second edition was an enormously popular and influential game from Fantasy Flight Games, which was eventually replaced by the similar Eldritch Horror and Arkham Horror Third Edition.
The second edition remained popular however, so much so that Fantasy Flight are releasing a ‘remastered’ version with new artwork and various component and gameplay tweaks.
The notion of a remastered board game is interesting. In this case I think the publishers recognise that the difference between the second and third editions is sufficiently great that the third edition was not an iteration of the second but essentially a different game entirely.
I never played the original version, but am a big fan of other Lovecraftian FFG games like Elder Sign, so will watching the Gamefound campaign with interest.
